Update on British Isles Houston, TX

Dropped in this past weekend and chatted with the owner. He had just gotten back from a trade show in England and he mentioned he was going to add the complete D.R. Harris Arlington line and expects to have the shave soap in stock in a few weeks. It appears he will also be adding some Simpson brushes. He met with the Simpson reps and they recommend the highly regarded Colonel X2L as the "must carry" item.

Just found out about this place - glad it's not new to B&B! However, spoke with Guy (the owner) today, and got the same story you reported: he wants to bring in D.R. Harris stuff, and Steward razors. Currently, they have a wonderful selection of Geo F Trumper, Truefitt & Hill, TOBS, Crabtree & Evelyn, etc. They're a great shop, and it's fantastic to be able to put hands on, look at and smell (!) these great products. I know they're available online, and probably cheaper. But the ability to examine them firsthand is terrific, really made me happy, and their service was first-rate. Got my first badger brush from them! I'm sure I'll be back here - for the Jaffa Cake rolls, if for nothing else!
