    Default Aqua Velva Cologne???

Since I have got into DE shaving a neat surprise for me has been my "re-discovery" of Aqua Velva. I bought some a month ago on a whim and it really brings back memories of my dad splashing a little on my cheek when I was little or the barber dabbing the back of my neck after a haircut to make me feel like a "grown-up".

Anyway, I realize its cheap, and hardly "sophisticated", but I absolutely love the stuff. It feels great after a shave and I think it smells fantastic. My only complaint is that the smell fades quickly and 1-2 hours later you cant smell it at all.

So, my question is... does anyone know if Aqua Velva makes a longer lasting cologne? or is there a longer lasting cologne that smell just like Aqua Velva?

I notice that The Shave Den lists a fragrance called "Havoc" that is referred to as an "Aqua Velva type" fragrance. Has anyone here tried "Havoc"? Its listed here -> http://theshaveden.com/store/index.p...iewDoc&docId=6

    Thanks!

The Aqua Velva Musk is an aftershave/cologne. It's scent sticks around much longer. I've read where people have boiled their AV down to condense the scent and make it stronger and more long lasting. Can't speak to the results though.

The AV Musk is OK but I really like the smell of AV Ice Blue.

I would like to find a longer lasting cologne that smells just like the Ice Blue.

Anyone tried The Shave Den's "AV type" scent?

I have seen Williams Aqua Velva cologne here in Madrid, Spain. In fact, I think they have a couple different scents available... maybe a "Sport" version, as well. The cologne doesn't have nearly as bright a color, but it does seem to be the same scent as the American "Ice Blue" aftershave (It has been a while since I used the aftershave, so I am not entirely positive). Shipping from Spain to the U.S. is ridiculous, but possibly it is available elsewhere in Europe? Might be something to look into... Best of luck

I (accidentially) dumped a lot of AV Ice Blue AS and it lasted (stank) for a few hours. So I guess use more? Haven't tried their Musk.

Not something I'd recommend, from a chemist's point of view.
