My efforts to cull the razor collection need to intensify, so here are some SE razors, lather catchers included.
Please note: Shipping will be an additional $5 to CONUS locations. International buyers, please PM me first.
SOLD!! 1) Pils Stainless Steel razor - $190
First up I have a Pils razor that I recently received. It's a great shaver but, as you can see from the last pic, I already have another.
No issues with blade gap, exposure etc. It's basically pristine. No staining on the head, no scratches or other blemishes anywhere. It will come with its original box.
Please Note: The second Pils in the last pic is only for illustration. It is not part of this sale.
SOLD!! 2) Star Lather catcher. - $50
This razor is in excellent shape. It takes modern blades and shaves brilliantly!!
1900/1901 patent date. The handle is pretty nice in use too.
The case is in decent shape but, as you can see from the pics, the clasp is torn (though it's still in one piece).
3) Star LC (Victorian) Pre-1900. $100
This is a beautiful collectors item. An original Star Victorian Lather Catcher. 1880 patent date!! Yes! That's 131 years ago!!!
The razor head itself is in great shape - no brassing, etc. However, it has only one section of the handle, and that's reflected in the price.
Takes only wedge blades (an original blade is included). The blade has no rust/pitting, and is pretty sharp.
4) Gem Damaskeen - $15
In decent shape. It's a very nice shaver. This is the regular closed-comb type.
5) SCS Lather catcher - $35
This is from a relatively unknown company. Wilbert cutlery sold razors of all sorts. I have a straight from them (wonderful blade). It shaves really well, sort of like an EverReady LC. It takes modern SE blades. It is an early 1900's razor.
