What's new

The Old Girl knows what she's doing!

I scored from www.shopgoodwill.com a lot of 4 razors. Two Gillettes; a Super Speed Flare Tip and a Red Tip; a Schick Model G and a Gem 1912. :001_tt1:

I shaved with the Gem 1912 using a Treet SE blade and my go-to brand of shave soap, ManCave1 from www.etsy.com. I was amazed at the smooth shave I got from this razor which has to be at least 80 years old. It's a bit awkward to maneuver close to my moustache and goatee, given the size and width of the head, but for "wide open spaces" it's great.:thumbup1:

I now understand why so many of my fellow B&B'ers talk about their "rotations". The Old Girl is now part of my rotation. For an 80-something razor, she sure knows what she's doing.:closedeye
