    Default DE Knife?

is there any kind of utility knife that uses DE blades like the ones that use SE blades?

A DE blade is pretty light duty for most tasks a utility knife is used for. I wouldn't want to cut drywall with a DE, for example. Even the lightweight OLFA blades don't work that well.

You could always pick up a shavette, however I think that there are much better options out there for a utility knife.

no doubt. i'm just wondering if i can get a few more uses out of my blades after they stop popping hairs(aside from plating them in silver and selling them at Hot Topic). just curious.

Look for a SEECO razor scraper.

It holds a DE blade in one direction for scraping and in another direction for cutting.

It also has blade storage in the handle.

I'll dig it out of my tool box and take a photo.
