    Default RAD outbreak this weekend.

On Feb. 1 this was my razor collection

    Pretty small, huh?

On Feb 18 it was up to this

Not much better(Thanks Dusty for the Tech)

By 6:00pm on Feb 19 my Razor collection had grown to this

Much better(thanks to GreekGuy for the Lady Gillette)

It was a good shopping trip in Amarillo's antique district.
I got the Otis Roth copy of a Gillette NEW and the Dubl Duck alum for $21.
The Schick Injector and Gem Featherweight for $15
The Gem 1912 with case and Eastmore blades(double edge blades in a single edge razor's case) for $18
And lastly the Wade and Butcher 7/8 Str8 for $30
And check the etching on the str8's blade

Not a bad haul for under $100

Sorry for the jacked up margins if anyone can teach me to do thumbnails with photobucket let me know and I'll be glad to fix it

I sniped this and it hit me right at the max, but I'm cheap so it's ok.

cased rocket HD, fatboy, and pipe rack for the bathroom sink.

pssst. Darth, you can resize them right in photobucket. click on edit and a whole range of options shows up.

Nice! You are the man when it comes to finding those out of the way items. I love those Rocket cases.

Well, this is my 2nd month of classic shaving & being here at B&B. I'm totally embracing my ADs - I wouldn't dream of stopping when there's so much good stuff out there! Or soaps and blades I haven't tried yet!

    Today I got these:
    • $8 - Rubberset 89 Brush & Morning Pep Shave Bowl
    • $21 - Bowdins Wedge 9/16 straight razor (my very first straight!)

    Earlier this month I got:
    • $6.50 - Marble Razor and Brush Stand (mislabeled as a toothbrush holder at antique shop!)
    • $5.00 - Old Spice Shave Mug
    • $5.00 - Ceramic Jug (using it for Witch Hazel)
    • $5.00 - Ceramic Bowl for lathering
    • $9.75 - 1967 Gillette Black Handled Super Speed with original plastic case that's cracked
    • Blade Bank from WCS
    • $8.00 - Antique Chalk Box (using it to store blades)
    • $4.50 - Ever-Ready 65 Brush
    • My first TABAC in bowl + a refill
    • Geo F Trumper Sampler
    • A new variety of blade samples, my favorites being Astra, Shark Chrome, and Feather

I'm about to venture into brush restoration with the Ever-Ready 65.

I also ordered a poor man strop kit and barber's hone from Whipped Dog so I can try straight shaving!

Oh no, what if I can't bring myself to shave with DE's anymore!!
I have trouble sleeping at night... because I keep reading B&B instead!

Originally came with a matching boar brush. I reknotted one and sold it on BST awhile ago. My set was missing the bowl though. :( I think I trashed the base.

And Walter, you don't need to say likely. That is a Thuri. If you don't believe me, I'll buy it from you for "unknown hone" price.

Interesting... If the brush was still with mine, the seller would have realized it wasn't a toothbrush holder and would have upped the price! But I'll have to look back at your BST post to see it. My current brushes and razors don't look quite right with the stand... Kinda wish the metal was silver instead of gold.

Today from a local barber supply:

The Personna Super's were only $2.50 for 12! The injectors were $10.50 for 40 blades.

Ooh, almost the same... the lip is different... what number does yours have stamped on the side? Mine says "65". The only rubber left on mine is on the bottom and a little bit on one side... the rest of my handle is worn to the wood.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe it's the model number. I've already cut the bristles off to begin my restoration. My bristles were in bad shape.

It's been a slow few months! Between the bad weather and having to work almost endlessly, I haven't had a chance to look for any shaving type stuffs.

Sunday, it was nice so we hit the flea markets and antique shops. SWMBO bought a walnut table, and I found nothing. Today, we picked up the table, and I found a fat handle Tech in ok (not great, but it's still usable) condition. After a touch of cleanup, here it is:

In a few weeks, we are headed to St. Louis, and I'm hoping I can pick up a few more razors!

Yes it's the model no. I have restored an ER75 with a black badger knot from TGN.

Very nice! I'm curious, what all did you do to your handle? I'm trying to plan mine and yours looks great!
