The brush is dodecagon shaped. I don't think it has ever been used.
Thats one interesting brush. I like the color of the handle.

So the million dollar question is.......are you going to use it?

    I really don't know.
One part of me thinks it's too special and another part of me want to use it, it is after all its destiny, it is what it's made for

    Default Ambrose horsehide

I was lucky enough to get one of Ambrose's last horsehide strops. He had a second lying around and was nice enough to make me a strop from it, at a discount. I really like draw on this strop. I think I'll grab a Latigo from them in the future. Good customer service.

My acquisitions from Friday the 4th.

All of the local Rite Aids have dropped the Real Shave Co stuff and I absolutely love it. Was on a business trip over to Dickson, TN and found a stash there so I bought them out.

Found the Avon mug and the Ever Ready C40 brush at a little antiques mall for $10 (for both). Was mainly interested in the brush for restoration since it was in great shape. The mug looks cool but I prefer shorter mugs for holding my soaps.

It's funny but the mug was pretty filthy with a driep up cake of what looked like Williams in it along with a bunch of whiskers. The brush was pretty nasty as well with dried lather all over it and lots of brown gunk on the handle. Both cleaned up great. Seems like the antiques dealers will go to great length to clean up anything except for shaving gear.

Not sure if I'll keep the mug or not but looking forward to restoring the brush.

A couple of RV customs landed this week. One is 22mm TGN black badger knot in a Polo-style butterscotch handle. The other is 28mm TGN silvertip in a Kent BK12-style handle. Each has been lathered once, to remove some of the badger funk.

Will do. I test lathered it again last night, so will probably get a shave in with it later this week. If I forget to post a reply, shoot me a PM reminding me.
