    Default Acquisitions for February 2011

I got my first straight today from a used store here in town....

I'm going to send this out at some point to get cleaned up and shave ready. All I can read on it is ____ ___ Bros. Co. Ltd. Toronto and then the Handmade on the other side.

The handle is plastic and I don't know that it is all that high quality, but hey for $20 incl tax I'm happy.

Gee all I got was 3 VDH glycerin pucks for $5.00. But than again it's hard to hide bigger items from SWMBO .

We have a somewhat weird shaped bathroom and I get a get a corner I have to keep neat to avoid any suspicions of purchases

there's a good chance that you have seen it, and just skimmed over because every other pic i've seen of it makes it look drab and bland

I'm fairly sure the real thing probably splits the difference of the two, but hoping it's closer to the first pic i posted

That's a beautiful looking boar. What are the dimensions?

Edit: Just found it. Yes, presentation is everything.

My 2nd straight razor arrived this morning. A 6/8 Revisor - which is closer to 7/8 than 6/8. I should hopefully be sending it out to someone on Monday for honing.

    Default Ambrose horsehide

I was lucky enough to get one of Ambrose's last horsehide strops. He had a second lying around and was nice enough to make me a strop from it, at a discount. I really like draw on this strop. I think I'll grab a Latigo from them in the future. Good customer service.
