The blue one in the pic is a Spyderco, a Delica FFG (Full flat ground) in VG-10
It's a good knife, on the small side, very well made, decent steel. Not a big fan of VG-10, but it hold a good edge for a reasonable time...
All in all, good value for the money spent

    Last night I honed 3

Just because it's sharp, does not mean it's smooth.

Both Mejiro Toishi are around 40mm thick. The longer one is a bit bigger.

You are the king of Jnat porn. That thing is amazing. I honed my little "Solgen" western style Japanese razor today on my Shaptons. The last shave wasn't great so I reset the bevel, went through my usual progression up to the 30k. Something wasn't right, the HHT was too loud.. Shaved anyway-- bad idea, not very close and some irritation. 6/10 shave at best. Got frustrated, drank a couple glasses of wine, went back to the 8k, did about 100 laps of ultralight pressure. Already felt better on my thumb. Same on the 16+30k, ultralight, more strokes than usual. Bit of CrOx and the HHT was much better. Not as much "ping", my wife's long thick hair fell easily. Want to shave again, but am instead stewing over the mysteries of my Shaptons and drinking more wine.

Cut it? Lol.. no way. Maybe after one of them splits up or something. They're soft, could happen at any time.

Today's venture - Dexter razor knife of some sort. I use it as a fine utilitiy blade.
Stone is an Okudo Suita. Might be Shiro, might not - whatever, a rose by any other name..... its hard, fast, and the edge is screaming sharp.
The little guys are Okduo Suita Tomo Nagura - each one is a bit different in use.

I very nearly pulled the trigger on one of those Okudo stones but it was covered in lines so I wasn't sure about it (seems like they all are though) so decided against it. Man they are gorgeous though.

A Rolls Razor. Edge was fairly pitted so used Chosera 1k to get past that and then on to lapping film. 12 to 1 micron and finished on 1 micron with paper under it.

Will shave with it in the morning but it should be a nice shave if my other honed Rolls blade is anything to go by.

Touched up a Wacker on a black translucent arky with a .50 diamond slurry then to .25 diamond hanging strop. After that 60/60 linen leather. It is certainly stupid sharp but we'll see if it's comfortable.

Thank ya. We'll see how good it shaves. Took a very nice edge, but I have been trying to get away from anything bigger than 13/16.

Today i honed a 7/8 (15/16) Boker Celebrated I recently purchased and showed up UPS today. I honed it on a vintage coticule then did around 1o laps on a Thuringian with light slurry and 10 more on near clear water. Ohhh very nice and excited about tomorrows shave.
