Hi-res Gillette adjustable manual for download!

Those links are very spammy-why not upload the photos to our gallery where we can see them without the spam, Thanks.

Can I upload two 13mb files to the this site without having to compress them to a really small file size? If so, I wil upload them no problem. Let me know what is the file size limit I can upload?

Polod, I think you could resize those quite a bit without losing much. Anyone who wants to print them could still grab them from turboupload, and I think casual viewers would prefer smaller images anyway. I just resized them to 1000 pixels on the longest side, and they look great at only about 90 KB apiece.

In any event, thanks for these--they're really cool :)

Heres the link for a gallery tutorial, why not do both?

:thumbup1:

I merged both photos, tweaked them out a bit in Photoshop, and uploaded a high-res (518k) them for you guys. Click here to see the pic.

Polod or anyone else, if you'd like a printable hi-res PDF with margins set, PM me with your email address and I'll be more than happy to email it to you.

How did you guys post this? I followed all the instructions on the posting to the gallery forum, but everytime I try to upload the file, which says I have max of 20 mb, my browser either hangs or times out? I tried using Mozilla, Opera, I.E., all latest versions, even tried disabling pop up blockers built into the browsers, no luck. Each file is 13 mbs, so I should be o.k. posting one file at a time, which I tried. maybe I'm missing something here? But I'd like to post future pics.

Also need a hi-res scan that came with the original Fatboy razor. If somebody could scan in an original manual like I did, upload it to Turboupload, I could grab the file and touch it up in Adobe or Paint Shop Pro. I know there were a few different versions of the manuals. I'd like to have them all.

My link is the image I uploaded to my Photobucket.com page. I didn't use the B&B gallery. And if you click on the image up above that Jim posted, you'll see the full-size image. Thanks for embedding that puppy Jim.

WHY THE Gillette 195 Ajustable RAZOR?

- Skin and beard are like fingerprints.
No two are identical.

- Certain areas of your face are more
sensitive, harder to shave than others.

- The condition of your skin, length of
time between shaves, amount of time you
allow for shaving, and many other factors
influence the degree of shaving satisfac-
tion.

NOW. . . a close, smooth, com-
fortable shave for every skin and beard
condition.

Light shaves 1 - 3

Close shaves 4 - 6

Extra close shaves 7 - 9

Here's how to get the best shave
for your skin and beard:

- Begin by placing the dial at position
number 1.

- Test the settings as you shave by
gradually dialing upwards 2, 3, 4 . . .
towards 9, increasing blade exposure
and shaving angle.

- After one or two shaves you will be
able to determine the best setting for
your skin and beard.

A FEW TIPS ON THE
195 Adjustable

- When shaving a particularly sensitive
area, perhaps on your neck, dial a
lower setting for more gentle action.

- Occasionally, because of sunburn, wind-
burn or chapping, the sensitive condition
of your face may require a slightly
lower setting than usual.

- For real smoothness in shaving a dark,
rough-stubble area, dial to one of the
higher settings.

- When you just want a "once-over-
lightly" one of the lower settings will
do the job quickly and easily.

THE RIGHT WAY
TO SHAVE

1. To soften the beard, wash face with
warm water, rinse and leave wet.

2. Apply shaving cream. Give it two or
three minutes to penetrate and soften the
beard.
Shaving cream keeps your beard soft
during the entire shave. For best results
use Gillette Foamy, Brushless of Lather
Shaving Cream.

3. Adjust razor to the kind of shave you
want . . . light, close or extra close.
Shave with diagonal strokes.

REVOLUTIONARY!
A NEW
KIND OF RAZOR

THE
GILLETTE
195 ADJUSTABLE
ONE-PIECE RAZOR

------------------------------------------------------------------------

EASY DOES IT WITH THIS BRAND-NEW SHAVING COMBINATION.

GILLETTE
Adjustable RAZOR

You never had it so easy. It's so
simple for you to adjust this re-
markable new shaving instrument
to match your skin and beard.
There are nine different degrees
of blade edge exposure and
angle. Light Beard? . . . Tender
skin? . . . Heavy dense beard?
There's a setting between 1 and
9 that suits you exactly.

GILLETTE

Super BLUE BLADES
Trade Mark

Take it easy. Let the blade - the
new Gillette Super Blue Blade -
do the work. Use less pressure
than is customary. With the new
Gillette Super Blue Blade . . .easy
does it. An exclusive manufactur-
ing technique has resulted in a
blade edge so different, men every-
where have found shaving comfort
they never believed possible.

SAFETY DISPENSER

TO LOAD RAZOR: Twist the knob
at the end of the handle to the
left to open razor head. Thrust
blade halfway out of dispenser
with thumb. Hook blade slot over
center bar on razor and withdraw
dispenser. To close, twist knob
right. Complete locking with a
final half turn.

Put used blades in handy com-
partment in back of dispenser.

HOW TO USE YOUR Gillette ADJUSTABLE RAZOR

Nine settings for superb shaving comfort
You turn this micrometer dial
from 1 to 9 for lightest to heaviest beard

There are 9 settings on the razor dial. Each gives a different edge
exposure and angle. People with lightest beards or tender skin
will get the best results from settings 1, 2 and 3.

As you turn the dial toward 9, more and more blade edge is
exposed. Settings 4, 5 and 6 are for average skin and beard and
are used by the majority of men.

If yours is a dense, hard-to-shave beard, adjust to even higher
numbers . . . 7, 8 and 9.

It is suggested that for your first shave you set the dial at number
1 and adjust from there to suit your requirements. Your exact
setting will give you clean, refreshing shaves no other razor
can match.

Special to the ladies: We recommend starting at the number 1
position. Adjust upwards if experience indicates greater edge
exposure is better for your needs.

Gillette foamy

INSTANT LATHER SHAVING CREAM

Easy does it when you discover the wonder-
ful convenience of Gillette FOAMY Instant
Lather Shaving Cream - either regular or
with cool, refreshing menthol added. Shake
the can . . . press the nozzle. Quick as that
you have rich, creamy moisture-holding
lather to make shaving a breeze. Economical,
too, because FOAMY is extra rich and full
bodied. And like all Gillette Shaving Creams,
FOAMY contains K-34*, the exclusive anti-
septic that kills facial bacteria while you
shave.

Gillette LATHER AND
Gillette BRUSHLESS
SHAVING CREAMS

For men who like to work up their own
lather, or who prefer a brushless type
cream, Gillette also makes available Gillette
LATHER and Gillette BRUSHLESS. Both come
in generous size tubes and contain exclu-
sive K-34*.

* K-34 is Gillette's trade mark for hexa-
chloraphene facial antiseptic.

THE RIGHT WAY TO SHAVE

1. Soften beard by washing face with
warm water.

2. Apply shaving cream on wet face. It is
important to use a cream like Gillette
that holds plenty of whisker-softening
water.

3. For best results with your new Adjust-
able Razor and Super Blue Blade shave
with light diagonal strokes.

4. After each use, loosen razor head
slightly, rinse and shake out moisture.
Further drying is unnecessary.

Your new Gillette Adjustable Razor and Super
Blue Blades are unconditionally guaranteed
to give you complete shaving satisfaction, or
the full purchase price will be refunded.
