    Default Allergic to Boar?

It seems if I use my boar brush (omega) more then 2 or 3 days in a row I can a nasty, deep zit or two on my cheek.
This never happens if I use a badger, I can use a badger for weeks on end w/out issue.

This is using the same shave soap with both brushes.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Are you using the same soaps and creams when you use the different brushes? I ask because lots of people use there boars for soaps and badgers for creams. Many of the soaps contain tallow or possibly lanolin which can clog pores and cause break outs.

I've been using AOS Sandlewood with both brushes. Badger no porblem. Boar problem.

It happened before with Tabac and the boar and I thought it was just that combo.

I do face lather with both types of brushes, but never had a problem when using the badger.

I like the boar brush cause it is very soft now. But I don't want to have for only once or twice a week uses.

Since the brush is well broken in, it is several months old. You may want to look up the brush cleaning guide and give that a go. It won't hurt.

If the only difference is the brush, then I'd have to say it's the brush. However, the typical allergic reaction isn't cystic acne, but everyone is different.

You could always send it my way!
