GOOD artisanal soaps in England?

A friend is coming to visit from England. Knowing about my new shaving hobby, he'd like to bring me a small, relatively inexpensive gift related to shaving. Instead of bringing me some of the big name products that we can easily get here in the US, I thought about the possibility of getting something that isn't available here. Artisan made soap or cream was the first thing that came to mind. Do you know of any? Or do you have any other ideas?

http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/UK_Shaving_Soap_Compendium might help, although http://www.nannyssillysoap.co.uk/ seems to be the only one on a similar scale to QCS, SCS, or Mama Bear.

Do you use a straight, or are you thinking about it? http://www.strop-shop.co.uk/ might interest you. The UK Gillettes are interesting too, and he might find one at a local boot sale or antique market.

If you don't find an artisan product you want, ask for some Palmolive "GUT 2,2" sticks. You can order them here, but they cost several times more than in the UK. Or a Kent shaving soap refill from John Lewis - it's really MWF. http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/UK_shaving_supplies might help with finding those, or with other ideas.
