Default Thanks for all the help!

    Hi all.

I've been lurking about this forum for a couple of months - absorbing all kinds of information and advice as I made my way back into DE shaving.

I had been a DE shaver until my trusty super adjustable (purchased new in the early 70's) finally died almost 10 years ago.

I was unable to find a replacement at that time and over the past 10 years have tried a Mach 3, Fusion and an endless succession of disposables.

After finding this site and absorbing tons of info - I started keeping an eye on eBay. It was a shock to see the prices that many vintage Gillettes were going for, but I finally found a good deal and a couple of days ago I received my '65 Tech with a plated handle (instead of the more prevalent aluminum).

I am using Wilkinson blades that are available locally, but have a sampler pack on the way.

So thanks for all the advice and help - choosing and cleaning a vintage razor, the blade reviews that helped me determine what sampler pack to order, and a myriad of other tips and info that I have picked up.

    Welcome mate!
It's great to see the amount of people who have been wet shavers, changed to the new gear and have since returned to wet shaving.

Confirms for me that i'm onto a good thing!
    Cheers, Matt
