Trouble shaving around the jawline

Hey guys,

So I tried out the straight razor for the first time today, and I was having a hell of a time figuring out how to shave along the jaw. I ended up just finishing it up with my Mach3. So just how should I deal with this? I'm just not comfortable shaving on a curve with this thing. Any ways around it?

What I did at first, I pulled the skin up to shave and then pull it down to avoid the big change of angle around the jawline.

You can always try a DE.

Not a straght shaver, yet, still new to DE. For my jawline I open up my mouth wide and that seems to move up the skin enough so that it is now flat. Really helps with that area.

This way makes sense to me. I've not a straight razor shaver but that's how I've seen people do it in videos.

I'm still trying to get my technique on the jawline down myself with a DE. Using my other hand to slightly stretch the skin does seem to help.
