Default Anybody have a TI Celebration?

I've been eying this razor for a looong time, and now I'm in a position to actually buy one.

Does anyone else have one of these? What do you think? I'm looking to thin my straights down to this and my Tosuke. This is my grail razor unless I hear something catastrophic.

Don't think you'll hear too much catastrophic. There are those who think the new Carbonsong steel feels strange. I am not among them. In my experience, it is a bit difficult to sharpen, takes a very keen edge and holds it for quite a while.

Congratulations! I have one of the original Silverwings and have had no regrets about buying it. I think your version is an improvement, if anything.

It's a little early for congratulations...I haven't bought it yet!

But it's pulling on me mightily!

I got one, my scales look more white then that picture but you will have differences in natural materials, as far as shave, well I am a big fan of the new C135 and there overall quality has improved a great deal in the past few years too.

    I have one.

I was a little disappointed. One side of the edge was ground about a 1/16", the other side was hardly ground at all. It was a pain to fix.

I didn't expect it to be shave ready from the factory, but I was expecting it to be evenly ground.

I would talk to the vendor and have them check it before shipping.
