Shaving stands?

So, I basically know nothing about shaving stands. Up until now, I have just been leaving my razor on my bathroom counter post shave (awful for the blades I know, but there wasn't really anything else I could do.) So, how much would a decent stand cost? I don't want the most expensive one available, just something middle of the line that gives you decent bang for your buck. Any notable brands?

You can probably get an empty cigar box for free to hold your razors. As for brush holders, I believe my patented model is the least expensive available. Save your dough for the important hardware and software.

i use a metal spirally type single toothbrush stand that my wife had hiding in the medicine cabinet.

looks classy, works awesome, easy to clean, holds my razor upright. if i get a chance i'll post a pic tomorrow, but toothbrush stands are cheap and readily available, try the dollar store or ikea

i've looked at some online, that hold a brush and razor, and they tend to be about $15-20 each.

I have the Col. Conk Brush and Razor stand from westcoastshaving. I paid $20 something for it and it has a solid weight to it and it matches my razor perfectly. If your looking for something that is purely functional there are cheaper options out there.

Like your stand, ouch. Where can I buy this? :confused1 Do you hang it from the ceiling? I know my SWMBO will love seeing this contemporary work of art when she enters the bathroom. It will go nicely with the blank piece of white cardboard that was signed by an "artist" that she purchased when we visited the MOMA in NYC. :001_rolle

A few more of those in a circular pattern and you can have the first shaving brush baby mobile. Teach em young!!

I really like this one that you have listed.

The Omega 206-n and 226 Razor/Brush Stands are a home run

And for a little over $20 it may be worth the purchase in a few weeks when I buy some shaving products. Does the Merkur HD 42 work? I beleive thats what I have...it may be the 43... Too many numbers... ahhh

I made a razor stand for myself that cost a grant total of $3. I had a small piece of scrap wood and I bought a pair of cabinet knobs from Ikea (I've seen lots of other ones around like this). It looks really nice (although the picture doesn't really do it justice) and works perfectly. It could easily be made on a longer board and could hold as many razors as needed.

Here's a picture of the shaving rack and one of the sort of knobs I used.
