Default Do you shave with cold water during Winter?

I've noticed better shaves when using cold water instead of hot during Winter. Have you ever tried it?

Yes, but here in Florida it isn't usually that cold in winter. However, the past few days, brrrrr. I did a cool water shave today because I was in a rush. But, if it is this cold tomorrow, it will be back to the warm water shave.

Late this summer I switched to a cold water shave, but since "cold" weather hit this fall (yeah, I know, SC doesn't get *that* cold), I've switched to hot water for my first 2 passes, then cold for my final pass + touch ups and rinse.

This way, the brush isn't terribly cold, I don't freeze to death, but I still get my whiskers to stand up a bit with the cold splash.

Yes, cold water works for me as well. Taking for granted that one must properly hydrate the whiskers first. In the winter I like to take a hot shower and then shave with cold water. In the summer I take like to take a tepid shower. Hey, it works for me, but YMMV.

Some like cold water shaves... I prefer warm with a soap that contain menthol such as Proraso!
