Looking good! With enough careful sanding you can smooth out the uneven bits. 220 wet grit is good for quick cutting but you need to be extra careful you don't get the low spots. From there you can go to 400 wet, 800 wet, 1000 or 1200 wet, then finish off with polishing compound with soft cotton cloth to make it smooth as glass. Any automotive store should have the wet/dry sand paper in the paint touch up section. If you go through to the wood just reapply some CA. Careful to avoid runs as those are much harder to fix!
the picture suxx. it looks worse than it really is. in real it looks like a nice acryl handle. tomorrow i try to do some good pictures.

That is very beautiful. That wood has some crazy grain.
I've used the CA finish on some knife handles and it really holds up well.
