My first post after my first DE shave (last night).
Fell into the whole DE thing accidentally after seeing an ad online for a Goodfella razor and blades at the price of the razor. A bit more research turned up this forum and the rest is history.
Current kit is:
Goodfella Razor
Derby blades
Omega Boar brush
Tabac soap
Thanks to all the useful stickys on this forum and mantic's videos I had a reasonable idea what to do but was still pretty nervous around my jaw line. Did 3 WTG passes (ran out of lather after that) and had the smoothest shave ever.
Still surprised at how well it all works with no pressure whatsoever.
Best bit is that it was quite easy to convince SWMBO once she saw the cost of Mach3 carts
Problem is I am already keeping an eye out for vintage razors and a black handled Muhle.
Rolls SE razors seem to be quite common here in NZ.
