How do like your Martini?

I used to bartend years ago, and the best request I ever got for a dry martini was when the guy asked me to just think about the vermouth!
Shaken, not stirred.
I like my martini not in a martini glass (too easy to spill) but rather in an old fashioned glass...
And on the rocks...
And whiskey instead of vodka or gin...
And that's it.

Vodka, Olive's & Vermouth for me, however being post 30 im very comfortable with this. If youre sub 30 you're not allowed to enjoy martini's or place orders from LL Bean.
Same way Castlecraver loves his: Vodka and Lemon (though he's been known to throw in some cranberry juice from time to time

About 4/1 Gin to Vermouth and olives, with just a dash of the brine.
Martine is with gin, when using Vodka is another name.
Mine is shaken on a frozen martini shaker with a tiny spray of dry vermouth.
Gin: Hendricks, Citadel Reserve, Plymouth, Miller, Rajah if SWWMO allows it.
I used to do 6oz of gin to a 1/2 vermouth; now it is 3 oz gin, kiss of vermouth

My father-in-law uses Bombay Sapphire gin and whispers the word "vermouth". He is a big fan of anchovy-stuffed olives and I can't blame him. It makes for a great martini.
LL Bean? I'm unfamiliar with this kind of dinosaur. Is that the guy who found it's fossil?

3 parts gin, 1 part vermouth. Up. Olives (the anchovy stuffed ones sound good). No brine.

Gin and olives. I keep a bottle of dry vermouth in the same cabinet that I keep the gin in.
