    Default Kampf brothers Star set

I found a complete boxed set of Kampf Brothers Star Razor with two shiny blades. The razor looks pretty darn good for a 100 years old but it does have a little plating gone, but not much. It is in a nearly perfect box.

I don't know anything about these dudes. Can somebody tell me if they are worth anything? I don't want to pay $32 for this set if it's not really worth it.

Lather catcher style (asking based on the 100 YO comment)? If so & complete in good shape then it "might probably" be worth $32 .. hard to tell more without pictures as there are some different things that could be a Star in a box .. what are the patent#s? Are they wedge blades with little Stars on them? Both handle parts included?

Yes, they are good. I have a Gem 1900/1901 that is similar. I'd like to get a Star as well. Is it worth the price? It is worth whatever you are willing to pay for it. I paid $20 for my cased Gem. They do sell for much higher though.

Well, I am really interested in shaving with it now that I get to looking it. But I don't want to pay $32 for it. Nice set. Would be fun, I think.

This set looks almost exactly (minus two blades and holders) like the one I found.

Perhaps you could put up the picture as an attachment.

Edit: I see you beat me to it by two minutes!

Somebody's nuts. I don't know whether it's me or them, but somebody is definitely nuts. I just wished I knew, so I'd know, you know?

Those are special blades, but I'm pretty sure it'll take segular SE blades too.

+1, I have a Star/Kampfe with that type of head design & it holds a modern spined SE blade securely.

I have yet to win a lather catcher on crapBay with a 30.00 snipe, and those are uncased brassy examples. I would grab if you can, and if you don't like it someone will likely buy it off of you in a heartbeat
