They do look very similar. Here's a pic of the side profile of two LGBs (on the bottom) and a la grise (on top). You can see they look very much alike. The second pic shows the up close difference on the surface; la grise on top, lgb on bottom.

AJ, thanks for these close-ups. The side profile pic shows almost no difference, while the top pic shows how similar the two are. By the way, is LGB a recent vein?
