Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner

I just got a bottle of Thayers Rose Petal wetch hazel and it works like a charm. However I have to say that FOR ME the scent smells nothing like roses, its more of a perfumy smell. After reading all the reviews it seems that people really enjoy the scent, is that what all rose scented products smell like? I am interested in purchasing a puck of GEO Trumpers rose soap, but if it smells anything like thayers I may have to look for another scent.
