Talking A broken Nespresso Aeroccino -> a nice Shaving Scuttle

Okay, bear with me on this one ye fine gentlemen...

I have a broken nespresso aeroccino, in that it no longer froths milk but the warming function still works. To make the best of it, (now that I have received a free replacement unit, thanks to some excellent customer service from nespresso inc.), I have decided to use the old one as a scuttle for shaving! In theory (ahem), it should work fine, methinks... we'll see the results tomorrow as I try it for the first time.

I have never had a scuttle before, but this one should do fine (gulp)... it is the right size and depth and heats the "contents" to 140-149°F/60-65°C max.

(Now, I would love to test out the "frothing" function with the "cappuccino" wisk and some TOBS shaving cream ... but I am too scared of the wife getting mad at me for using the new aeroccino for generating foam for my shave! So it's going to be a test of just the old unit as a scuttle for now.)

Wish me luck! Will post (hopefully) tomorrow on how this little "experiment" goes!

This could work nicely, and any residual caffeine could help you wake up in the morning! I'm interested to see how this turns out.

    Default AeroScuttle!

Alright gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that the re-purposing experiment went very well and I now have a wonderful AeroScuttle!

    1. Aeroccino base:

    2. Aeroccino top:

    3. Start with a tiny amount of water (halfway between the bottom and lower mark):

    4. Put it on:

    5. Front switch:

    6. Front switch on:

    7. Warming & done:

    8. Drop the brush in to soften for a few minutes:

    9. Break out the TOBS Lemon & Lime shaving cream:

    10. Now remember, a small amount goes a long way:

    11. Start building the lather & press the warming switch again:

    12. Some more lathering:

    13. ... and more:

    14. ... and done!:

    Ain't that LuXurious!!!:

Had one of the best shaves yet with a new Derby Extra DE blade! But honestly, nothing even comes close to the feeling of soft, rich, warm lather caressing the skin!!! If you haven't tried that yet, you must.

Hope I have inspired some of you to give it a shot! ;-)
Thanks for your attention and Questions are welcome.

Brilliant...but i'm not sure it would help me.

I can get TONS of scalding hot water because my bathroom is so close to to the water heater...what I really need to find my Brita pitcher and use that for lather mixing water because my water is so god awfully hard.
Ahead lie many fantastic shaves & AD's...But by appreciating #1, you justify #2!
