Budget Straight Razor Section now LIVE - The Restored Razor

Hi,

As I hinted to this new section on our web site, we have now created a "Budget Straight Razor Section". There are currently 11 to choose from as of this posting.

We recognize that many people are just looking for an affordable straight razor that will shave well. The Budget section lists straight razors in the Under $80 price range. Budget does NOT mean junk. These are common razors that are cleaned up, Honed Shave Ready and kept in their original scales when possible. There will be no chips in the blades, but you may find a water spot, a minor pit or wear marks as the results of many years of use. With that said we have given these razors a new lease on life, many are near perfect.

Thanks. :) It just seemed like we had an opportunity to serve the market better with vintage straight razors that worked well. We kind of act as filter for budget razors. Any razor we list is considered to be a quality item that will serve the buyer well.

It says you don't accept payment by credit cards not linked to an American bank account!
Gah! I have to have that 4/8th straight with the beautiful black roses scales! Roses are kind of my thing and I love it!

So you not ship overseas then?

Hi,

Currently we are using Paypal as our merchant processor. We do ship internationally. Do you have a paypal account? We are still ramping up to get setup with a regular credit processor but for now we only have Paypal.

Yes I do have paypal - will you accept that if it is linked to an Irish bank account?

Paypal is paypal. We have taken payments from around the world via paypal with out issue, as of yet, knock on wood. :)

Have you tried to process your order? I have not seen any rejections.

Hi Guys,
There are some great deals here and i'd recommend folks interested in straight razor shaving pick one up.

The Genco, Joseph Allen, Heljestrand, Wade & Butcher's, Griffon, and Robeson are all well known, top notch shavers (not to say the others aren't - they're just more uncommon brands).

If that Robeson and Genco last more than a day, it's an absolute crime.

Hi Mike. That's great to hear! I'm away from home and am just my phone for the Internet so can't put my paypal through on it. If that little beauty is still up there come Friday though I'll take it :)

Hi,

It seems that the USPS hosed up the system for real-time shipping quotes real good. Our shipping module is working for local US shipping but choking international shipping.

If you have an international order to ship to a location out side of the USA PM me or email me your order after creating an account on the web site. I'll manually process your order.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm waiting on developer support to address our shipping issues further.

I'm amazed that these razors are still around. What's wrong with you people? They're already cleaned up and shave ready!
That Heljestrand takes a wicked edge while still being a smooth shaver. The Robeson is a beauty.
Any of the 5/8 or 6/8 razors would be great starter straights. Ask to have the points slightly muted if you're worried about them.
These are all beauties and great deals, Mike. I already have two dozen straights and Christmas bills, but if a specific couple of these last much longer I may cave.
