Hi guys,
I'm Radu, originally from Romania, living in Amsterdam 4 years now.
I've started shaving when I was a teenager with my dad's Gillettes - a short SS one with a comb (or maybe that's not a Gillette at all), and an adjustable butterfly black plastic and steel one. Had quite a bit of fun doing it, seemed really dangerous at the time - and it sort of was, as I've managed to muck about with the adjustable's settings enough to remove a square centimetre of skin off my cheek at one point!
Anyway, the typical story afterwards - changed to cartridge Gillettes, then I've had a beard for a few years, and recently removed part of it so now I'm back to shaving - on my chin and under the jawline (yeah, like Lemmy).
I'm very happy with my gear - a Muhle razor, Feather blades, Mitchell's wool fat soap (and others), DR Harris Pink aftershave (and others), but I'm considering, carefully, to try out straight razor shaving, and I'm completely charmed by blades like the King Pelican and Hayashi Diamond...

Welcome. Yeah I would encourage you to try the straights out, the are great and a lot of fun. There's some real nice vintage and new stuff out there.
