My father gave me a kingly gift this Xmas in the form of the Joris soap in its beautiful Thuya bowl. It created a fabulously slick lather in no time at all which provided ample cushion for my 3 pass shave. I would say that the lather is on par with Tabac or Cade. The scent is delightful and reminds me of a somewhat subdued Floris no 89. I have only shaved with it twice so far but I think it is fair to say that this soap is highly recommended and a definite keeper.

Joris is a French vegetable soap, right? Where would one find this in the US? It sounds interesting.

Colonial Drug stocks it and they ship. Right now they are out until the end of January though.
Nice stuff - took a few shaves with it for me to warm up to it though. Now I really enjoy it so I'm going to get another puck or two.
