Default New Year's shaving related Resolutions

For 2011, my shaving related resolutions will be:

    1) Pare down my collection. I just noticed I have about 20 or so, 40's style SuperSpeeds. Hoarding is a slippery slope. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee....

    2) Get some new knots and get busy restoring some nice handles. I have 10 in the queue for the last 6 months.

    3) Restore at a minimum 2 of my straight razors.

    Happy New Years!

    1. Shave more often (4-5 times/week)
    2. Hold out on a new brush until my B-day (March)

    That's it so far. :)

    I've got two resolutions ...

    1) Fund all my 2011 purchases by selling off stuff I already have, but don't use.

    2) Try a good selection of the Artisnal soaps like SCS, MB, QCS, etc.

I promised myself that I won't buy anymore razors in 2011. Wish me luck!

Not buy anything until I put a dent in my soap and blade stash. Unless I find some vintage soap or blades. Or vintage Old Spice cologne or after shave. But that's it.

Get a new brush and hopefully make good lather GREAT!

Perfect my DE technique and continue to fine tune my injector technique.

Try and find my cojones and consider a straight!

1.Get much better with my straights.

2.Find a nice thick aftershave balm that I like.

3.Use up the EDT's that I have now before buying more.

    Just two goals:

    1. Limit my shave purchases to just two brushes in 2011.
    2. Stick to my use it until it's done approach and finish at least three soaps.

    Default Not resolutions, intentions.

A resolution is a promise you make to yourself because you think it's the right thing to do. Then when you break it, you feel guilty. I have none of those.

I do have some intentions and predictions.

    • Try all or most of the razors in my collection which I haven't yet used.
    • Restrict razor purchases to fortuitous bargains on a few vintage items. If I can't find something at a bargain price, do without it.
    • I can't see wanting to buy any more brushes, soaps or creams.
    • I'll try to do my part around here to offer useful advice to those who ask for it.

Now that my Le Grelot is on order (via online Boxing Week sale!), my resolution will be to only purchase some 3, 1, 0.25 and CrOx pastes (and try to make my own balsa strops for them).

I have just started wet shaving, so my resolution would be to work on my technique. I also intend to try some different soaps and creams and possibly pick up a Semogue for my first boar.

Very noble goals Bob and one of them should be quite easy for me to achieve as well. I am certainly going to try to use up some of my soap stock, try to keep helping others out here at B+B and shave every day.

I'm right there with you on your resolution.

I have to get up at 3:30AM some mornings, so it's sometimes tough to motivate myself towards proper prep. It has me considering shaving at night before bedtime.

I signed up to the 2011 Sabbatical. I have already ordered sufficient Feather blades to get me through the year so I have no excuse buying anything else. Having had a peek in my shaving supplies store, I am determined to use up at least one of my creams. I have so many it's scary!

To actually use one shaving cream for an entire week and maybe to actually finish one. The tubs look awesome when empty to hold loose change in the car.

Just one resolution: STOP BUYING STUFF!!!

Seriously, I have about 12 razors, and enough shaving cream, shaving soap, aftershave, and blades to last at least 5 years! Make the insanity stop!!
