My parents got me J. Peterman's 1903 cologne and ASB.

I used Christmas money to order:
    Tabac soap w/ bowl
    TOBS Mr. Taylor SC
    TOBS Mr. Taylor ASB
    TOBS Mr. Taylor Cologne

I'll probably order some 1903 SC this week because I am in love with this scent.

I got a Schick adjustable in mint condition from Coins and More. Shaved with it this morning and quickly went back to 1972! Just a great (and aggressive as well on 8) razor.
A stick of Polo green deodorant too.

My wife and daughter gave me a Merkur 34C and a replenishment of my go-to Proraso cream. Wow. I've been at this for just over 6 months now, and using a Weishi the whole time. I really like the more aggressive shave of the Merkur, it's made getting some of the trouble spots along my jawline much much easier. On the other hand, I've found it's much easier to get a nick or weeper.

My grandmother also gave me my recently deceased grandfather's 1965 Gillette Slim (K-2) adjustable, which I've just finished cleaning up with tips from the threads here. Really looking forward to trying this one out. I'm amazed how well made this thing is. Even before it was cleaned and polished it opened and adjusted so smoothly you'd think it was new.

The 34C is a great razor. But the real gift was your heirloom. I can't help but think of my grandfather each time i use his razor. It's the gift that keeps on giving

My wife gave me an Omega 10065 Boar Brush. I have one already but I like it so much I made a specific request for a second one. My mom gave me cash, which I used to purchase a GEM G Bar from e-bay. It should arrive any day now. My mother-in-law and my boss also gave me cash. Hmmmm. I wonder what I should get next?

Well Santa was good to me this year. My stocking was full of Arko shave sticks!
And then I also got a Valobra shave stick, Valobra almond shave soap, And the Standard Guide to Razors, 3rd Ed. My mom also found a razor and brush at an Antique store for me with a small leather travel shaving pouch. I love getting shaving gear as gifts.

    Thumbs up

I got a CVS branded VDH kit from SWMBO.

Her mother somehow found three gorgeous razors: a GEM G-Bar SE, a 1978 Gillette Black Handle Flair Tip, and get this: a FAT BOY! A beautiful, shiny Gillette Fat Boy! I was so excited. You should have seen their faces when they seen my face.

    Oooh - shave goodies.

    * A new Jagger best-badger medium brush and holder to replace an older pure badger whose knot was coming loose from the handle.
    * ToBS Avocado cream
    * Proraso Sensitive Skin soap (white tub)
    * DE razor leather travel case
    * Leisureman's Guide to Gourmet Shaving

On the non-shaving side, my lovely wife got me a Saddleback Leather bi-fold, which just rocks. Never thought I'd be that happy to get a wallet.

My Cypriol Scented shaving soap just came, it's very earthy and woody smelling, it's made by My Time Bath And Body, I just had a very nice shave tonight with it.

My sister got me a beautiful bottle of Creed GIT (best sister ever).

I don't trust my family to buy my shaving stuff, though, so the shaving related purchases were my own .

I couldn't agree more; it's a very special gift. This is much more than simply a memento that will sit in a drawer or on a shelf, or a vintage razor purchased somewhere.
