    Default Sharp or Dull?

    Got a question here?
If you have an Area on your face that gets a little irritation, no matter how well your technique is or how well you lather, is it best to use a duller blade in that area, or a sharp one if undo t want to get a real close shave in that area?

Also, what is it with certain creams thats on your face, pieces of white cream start flying around like flakes? Is that preventable?
I always take life with a grain of salt... plus a slice of lemon... and a shot of tequila.

Yes, the lather is terrible. If lather is flaking off at any point, it is way, way too dry, and needs lots more water when making it.

If you get patches, chances are that the grain is not growing in the same direction...

+1 on Drubbing comment, it shouldn't fly, if it does, it might be a bit too dry...

It's a catch 22. Shaper blade less passes, easier to take off layers of your face. Dull blade more passes, skin is scraped more times. I think it depends more on your skin type and technique and expectations of closeness of shave. For myself the magic combo so far is a single edged blade in a Gem 1912. DE wise a sharp blade in a milder razor or a duller blade in an aggressive razor works for me. So feather in a feather AS, red personna in a super adjustable set at 5-7= smooth and sexy. Feather in a super adjustable or red personna in feather AS = hamburger face. YMMV of course.
