    Default I have a problem...

I am 2 months into the habit...

I have 5 working razors, 2 merkurs that I purchased, 3 vintage gillettes that were my grandfathers.

I really really want a joris comb.

    Do I really need a 6th razor?

No. But this would be a dull site if it was solely about need.

You always need more razors. It's NEVER enough

    No.

But, how will you know if you like it, if you don't try it?

Default I do not understand your post.

I don't think I understand your post. You say you have a problem, but you don't say what the problem is. You want a Joris, that's not a problem. You want a sixth razor, certainly no problem there. (I stopped at six, for a couple of days). Maybe the problem is getting it before Christmas? Just pay for the expedited shipping. Wife won't let you have a sixth razor? That's not a problem for this forum. More razors are never a problem. Just make sure you have enough blades and soap to go with them.

If you don't buy that razor, you will always wonder if you missed the perfect one. Or look at it this way. You start by acquiring all the razors you can, then later you can sell off the razors to help fund acquisitions of creams, soaps or aftershaves because those AD's are waiting down the road.

You only have five razors? How do you manage?

I too cannot identify your problem.

What is it that you need help with? Deciding when you're going to get your 6th razor?

That is a question best asked after a AD purchase, not before.

Somehow I still only have 1 razor... Probably because I've been spending all my money on Brushes and Soaps.

AD strikes quickly, and I'm already out more than I usually would be in a month, but...

its all karma, dude: that Joris is reaching out to you, don't dare not respond in kind.

if you refuse that 6th razor, all cosmic bets are off, the universe is at stake and you whine, "do I really need it"

    do it

I've always figured you need two razors, in case something happens to the first. After that it's about want rather than need.

You're asking people who mostly have more razors than they need, and like to see others buy more than they need. People like me, for example. If you seriously want to be talked out of it, ask somebody who doesn't consider shaving a hobby.
