Combining AS with ASB or moisturizer?

I like my AS but it really dries out my skin so i have to combine it with something, either an alcohol-free ASB or a straight moisturizer, but i'm not sure which one would make more sense.

Using both AS and ASB seems a bit redundant to me, but then i doubt i'd be better off with AS followed by a simple moisturizer.

I'd like to get the best of both worlds and cancel out the drawbacks.

What do you guys think?

I've yet to find a moisturizer that doesn't make my face shiny looking, so I follow up with a balm. I have no idea why, but the aftershave balms don't make me look so greasy and shiny.

I've been using Avon for men (small gray tube) and my face absorbs it without a trace, have you tried that?

For me, AS followed by Nivea ASB, Corn Huskers or moisturizer works much better than AS alone. And it smells better than a balm by itself.
