    Default C&E Bar soap

Has anyone tried the C&E bar soap? It's expensive IMO ($20 for 3) but I found a bunch at a local Ross for $2.99 each. They had Sienna & Sandalwood scents, snagged 3 of each.

Used the sandalwood this morning and found my skin well moisturized (so far today) and a light buy lingering scent. C&E sandalwood is so far my favorite sandalwood shaving cream, and this soap perfectly matches it.

I've only used it one day, so does anyone have any further experience w/it? I don't want to recommend it and then find out after 3 days of use that it's drying.

It's a nice soap but not worth the retail price. I will buy it if I find it at TJ Maxx but not retail.

Agreed, a nice soap, but not as good as my favorite Bronnley.

I have used their soaps before (primarily the goats milk) & while pricey, I still like them a lot. The price isn't as bad if you are a member of their "club" or catch a sale.

I've never tried the goats milk, only the sandalwood. As Austin said, a little out of my price range. But they seem to be a triple milled and/or hard soap.
That being said, for those that are familiar w/them, how long do they tend to last?

The artisan shea/goats milk soap I got off of ebay is really good for the skin, fairly poor from a scent perspective and very soft. They're soft right out of the packaging, and if you don't leave it in a good place to dry in the shower you get a fairly mushy mess the next time you try to pick it up. I'd estimate a 4oz bar lasts about a month.

I don't anticipate reordering, and am glad they offered an 8 bar sample pack. But if you're one to not care about scent and can deal w/keeping them dry between showeres, they are great for the skin. Made by soaps & sundries and sold on ebay.

Back to the C&E though, it's been 4 hours and the great (IMO) sandalwood scent is still going strong. I might be calling my wife and have her clean out the rest of the TJ Maxx inventory. If those that have used this soap in the past say they tend to last a decent amount of time.

For artisan shea/goat milk bath soap from ebay, I highly recommend Honeybee. It lasts must better than what you describe, although of course nothing like a hard milled. Also, the scents are just right, and fantastic, with the same great choices that are available for the shaving soap.

I just got three of her soaps in a trade today (bay rum, forest pine, and coconut). I'm new to HBS soaps (never used them) so if these work out I'm sure I'll be placing an order. When I do I'll get some bath soaps as well.

The C&E bath soaps are hard milled & last a good while from what I remember. Most of their bath soaps are catered to the female clientele but they work & smell great if you like floral/feminine scents.

You'll love the Honeybee shave soaps. I have the coconut. Smells like a sun-drenched, bikini clad babe on a beach covered in Hawaiian Tropic.

Good to hear. My skin still smells of sandalwood, not overbearing but just right. And my skin is softer than usual, but I did notice my elbows are a bit dry.

Which is why I jumped at buying these. The scent and quality of C&E but in a bath soap catered towards guys. A perfect combo.

And I'll DEFINITELY be ordering some HBS bath soaps.

You can definitely find them at TJ Maxx for much cheaper. I picked up some sandalwood soap for 3 dollars a bar a few day ago (~50% less than retail).
