    Thumbs up Impressive...

    got mine right away---

have used it several times now, and simply love it for the work-day quick save--- but still can get a great 2-pass shave in--

I am surprised as I get virtually ZERO irratation, even in the sensitive spots-- hate to say it, but I think this lubricates BETTER than any of my high-end creams-- washes off clean and easy, doesn't clog the razor, and leaves the skin feeling great

I usually half-fill my bathroom sink with hot water to let the razor soak while I shower, and I just throw in the whole bottle and it is nice and warm by the time I am ready to use it-- you need only a small nickel size squirt, but I have to add just a little for a second pass

    great recommendation, thanks!

I just had a rush shave this morning and turned to Oliveology + Tech w/ Astra SP and got a DFS. No nicks or irritation. I also just ordered the 8oz size (I partook of the 2oz travel size today). This is one I want to keep in stock. Thanks Joel for the tip!

I received mine in 3 days as well, and I tried it this morning on two days' growth - wanted a good test! I used a Merkur TRAC, and in one pass I had a presentable shave. I did do a second pass as well - worked great! I don't mind that it is scentless because then you may use any A/S and/or cologne for your scent of choice.

I was wondering how do you think it would work for touch ups/polishing pass with a DE Razor?

Thank you, kindly, Joel, for the great review!!

I just tried oliveology for the first time and I couldn't be happier with the product. I only had to do two passes and my face got a close shave. I know many wet shavers like their soaps and creams, but this product seems like a pretty good alternative. what do you think?

I just ordered. You can get the 2oz + 8oz kit right now on sale for $13.60, and then apply the B&B coupon code for 20% off, plus shipping of $4.95. Total comes to $15.83!

I love the stuff and would be tempted to use it during the work week exclusively. I don't like to get of bed very quickly.

    Update-

No, this does NOT lather-nor does it play nice in combo with creams

-- got the dumb idea to add a little to my scuttle-bowl full of meringued cream--- did not seem to add anything to the shave, and really gunked up my brush-- it did finally come clean after alot of hot-water rinsing--

so far I've used nearly 1/3 bottle, and it is the best face-lube I've used-- it is slightly more difficult to track where you have/have not shaved, so I have to rely more on feel to make sure I get full coverage

Has anyone's wife or daughter used this to shave their legs and given any feedback? Positive or negative? This looks like it has more potential than Cremo Cream which works fine but can be sticky, and Trader Joe's which works fine but I think this might provide more moisture and thus be better overall, but I don't want to read too much into it having olive oil.

I don't know if you use FaceBook, but I do and I "liked" Oliveology there. On their FB page, there are many video reviews from ladies using it. Apparently it's great for legs and armpits.

I used it for the first time on my face yesterday. It's weird not shaving away the lather! But I like that I can see everything I'm doing. Since it's clear, you get a great view of the stubble you've removed both on the razor before rinsing, and in the sink afterwards. I also liked how a little bit goes a long way. It dries fast and has to be re-wet (dries on skin, but is still there if you re-wet your face). Definitely a different experience, and I love having it there for when I don't have time to whip up lather. Got a great DFS+ in record time.

Default Happy with Oliveology as an Occasional Substitute

While I enjoy and right now have the time for a good brush/bowl/lather shave most days, at least one day a week I don't have the leisure for the ritual. When I read your review of Oliveology I decided to try it and am happy to say that it provides a very satisfactory substitute for those days. It's a totally different shaving experience but not a bad one at all. In fact, it's good enough that I also ordered a small bottle for travel while I was deciding on which travel razor and brush set to buy. Thanks for the tip.

Yes --- the wife tried it and has used it several times now--- she prefers this to the lather method I previously suggested, no doubt becasue of the time-savings involved-- she approves enthusiastically

    Update #2--

FWIW for those that prefer a little scent in their face lube-------

I added 10 drops of lavendar essential oils to about 2/3 full bottle, and that, by luck, seems to be a very nice balance of scent-- much improved for my taste
