Feather blades, what is the difference in yelow, red, black, etc packaging?

I don't believe there is any difference in the blades themselves, purely different packaging for different countries I think you will find???

Feather also makes a carbon steel blade for use in labs.

The platinum version comes in a yellow box. The slightly lesser hi-grade stainless comes in a platinum box. They are both marked hi-stainless though, presumably the difference is the platinum coating.

I an guessing the yellow box razor is sharper and will hold the edge longer because of the coating?

Thanks everyone for your answers.
Marketing folks like to confuse us regular folks, LOL!

No, that's not the case. The yellow box has 10 blades and the black box has 5. That's the only difference per feather's own marketing material. It states "Package designs are different in different markets but contents are the same."
