With may much fanfare, and surrounded by even more rumor, it was finally announced at the end of summer that after a couple year hiatus Dunhill was once again going to be distributed in the US, and UK. The initial shipments started arriving in November, and now in December most E-retailers are receiving a steady supply. In celebration of it's return to to the US,

Just received my order of Royal Yacht from smokingpipes.com, which went up $2 since the date of my order. In any event, I'm happy to have it and will give it a try this weekend -- very curious to see how it compares with my memory of 20 years ago.

    Good deal!
I'll post in more detail after my evening pipe.

I can't say I'm familiar with the last US distribution, but I like the current one. I've been enjoying some Early Morning Pipe and Royal Yacht so far. I still have a tin of Nightcap and 965 to get to. I received some 2006 Nightcap in a trade a few weeks ago and am still smoking that as well.

The previous supply is exactly this same as the current. Orlik has been the most recient blender and they never ceased production of Dunhill over the last 2 years, Dunhill lost it's distributer in the US and UK. What wer are getting now is exactly the same as it was ever since Orlik too over the blending.

In 2006 there was still a lot of Murrey blended Dunhill going around, is that tin painted or does it have a sticker.

I ordered all of the Dunhill Tobacco's when they came back out just before Thanksgiving. However between starting a new job and the interesting Buffalo weather I still have not had the time to try it. I am hoping to try one of them out tomorrow! I just have to figure out what one to give a go first.

Early Morning Pipe is great, and I believe a tin will be bought for cellaring purposes. I am anxious to try out their 965 as well. Nightcap might still be a bit too much for me, as I'm still a little cautious of English blends because as a noob I tried Nightcap and had a headache for about 45 minutes after...lol

Last night I had Nightcap in an SMS meer lattice cut bent billiard with military bit. I usually don't smoke full English in larger pipes, this one is of about a Dunhill ODA capacity, however Nightcap seems to do well for the high latakia content it possesses. Combined with the meer any harshness, or any one dimensionality caused buy it, is mitigated allowing for a longer smoke that has many of the qualities of full English in a well made smaller briar. Very enjoyable and comforting in the small hours of a bitter cold night spent close to the fire.

I was recently looking at a deal on Cup O Joes recently that was nine tins for around 95 bucks. Is this what you got? If so, what tins come in the assortment?

I was a big fan of EMP until I discovered the McClelland Syrian blends, now I invest my money there. I prefer to support the small business as well; we gotta keep them in business.

I am ecstatic that Dunhill are making their world-class tobacco again. I just hope I haven't romanticised it too much. A couple of years ago I would have happily smoked nothing but Deluxe Navy Rolls for the rest of my life. Too bad I can't source it here, but I've made a polite request home for some.

Not to get off this thread, but it's too bad Dunhill discontinued their Cuban Cigar brand in 1991

Late last night, or early this morning depending on how you look at it, I finished up some of my Christmas shopping, and enjoyed another bowl of Nightcap in a Pete Irish Made Irish Army 999. Fantastic smoke, and perfect way to unwind before bed.

I'm enjoying the Dunhill this month. Good choice!

I'm having some Dunhill Royal Yacht in one of my MM Diplomats. I cross posted a pic in the PotD thread.

I've never been overly excited about Dunhill's blends, but I am very glad to see them back in the US.

One I do enjoy is Nightcap. I've been hording a tin in my cellar that has about 6 years of age on it now. Been thinking it was time to crack it open but now that I know I can buy more, I might let this one age a little longer

Dunhill blends have always been available in Italy. Early Morning Pipe and My Mixture 965 are two of my staples.
