Been DE-shaving since march and started to feel the urge to at least own a straight razor, but also to try a shave or to and if I like it, shave on weekends with it. Found one at e-bay (Tradera, rather) and bought it, but the seller sent me two. They are not shave ready, but I don't know if they need honing or just a good stropping.
The other thing, they are either ivory or faux ivory. If it is faux, it is really good and I can see with my bare eyes that the materials has been worked (sanded and polished) and not molded (or maybe molded and THEN sanded and polished to make it to really look like ivory?) Is there a way to tell (without UV-lights and such)? At work we have microscopes. Would they help?
Both knives are from Eskilstuna in Sweden and are manufactured by Klas Törnblom.
Pictures will come!
