Default Watching The Wheels Go Round and Round

This past Christmas time I sent a friend of mine (who lives in a different state than I do) a Merkur HD as a present. We would speak occasionally and he would mention how much he really enjoys using the razor. I would tell him about my acquisitions, B&B, ebay, buying a hundred blades at time, scuttles etc. He would tell me how crazy, obsessed and compulsive I am. (Tell me something I don't know). As time went on he would call me and we would talk about anything and nothing at all. I made a conscience attempt not to bring up any shaving-related topics. Inevitably, by the end of the conversation, he would always bring up a question about things he was using or products he wanted to try and asking me what I thought. However, he would always end the conversation by saying how crazy "I" was. Last week I was telling him to get over to a Target and get some of the Proraso items on clearance. One day he calls me and tells me he is at Target and "what was that stuff you were telling me to get?" I tell him where to look and what to get. I had to take another call and he called me back a few minutes later as he was at the checkout. I asked him what was in his basket and he said he had two bottles of Proraso ASB, the Sharps shaving kit, a bottle of Aqua Velva and a bottle of Old Spice. I said "4 bottles of aftershave, who's crazy now?" and hung up laughing. There is something about this wetshaving thing once it gets you in its grips.

I am sending him a box with the following:

    A tube of Proraso s/c
    A tub of Proraso s/s
A tub of SCS Bay Rum w/a Twist s/c
A bottle of Thayers Lavender w/h
    A bottle of Tabac a/s
A 4 oz. blue cobalt apothecary bottle from ogallala to put his pinaud bay rum b/c he says he wishes it came in a glass bottle.

This should put him over the top.
    Cheers,

    Bob

Hah! Great story ... but why did I think this thread was going to be about John Lennon?
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.
