    I just noticed this, I don't generally partake but there is a lot of interest on the boards so big to B&B for giving the membership even more specialization in the off-topic area.

    I've been honored with the position of steward for this forum. For those who don't know me from the Brotherhood social group, a brief introduction;

    I'm James and I've been smoking a pipe for 14 yrs. I find that many of the things I enjoy about wet shaving have some commonality with pipe smoking. Both are process oriented activities. I enjoy the process of folding and rubbing out flakes, or slicing plugs and twists. I find that pipe smoking provides time for reflection and relaxation. And I enjoy cleaning, polishing, and displaying my pipes as they rest between smokes. None of my pipes are particularly rare or valuable but I find beauty in every one, in the feel of them in my hand, in the sense of peace and comfort that they provide in an increasingly frantic world.

    Bearing the burden of responsibility..... It's probably my fault.

    Yep, it's all about breaking with the transient world for some quiet time. It was pipe-smoking that brought me to wet shaving, but I'm a noob at both, so I'm glad we've got an experienced guy here, James.

    My internet's been down for a few days, so I was pleasantly suprised when I saw this today. Congrats jwhite, you did a great job with the social group, I'm sure you'll do as well here.
