Merkur 11C vs. 12C

I'm seriously considering pulling the plug on one of these simply because I want to see if I can get the kind of shaves I'm getting with my New Standard with a modern razor. What do you guys think? Any comparisons between these razors, as far as aggressiveness, "feel," shave quality, etc.? I've never really seen a side by side comparison. If I get the best shaves from a Gillette New Standard, would the 11C be the best choice, the 12C, or another modern razor?

I have used the 11C regularly and it's a decent shaver. However, IMHO the Gillette New Standard would be more aggressive than the 11C. YMMV

That's kind of what I thought - thanks for your reply. Seems like it's built about the same, but just not as aggressive. Now I'm thinking maybe the 12C might do the trick. Not a huge fan of longer handles, though.
