Acquisitions for December 2010

I got my order from superlather in the mail today. I ordered decants of Floid Blue and Amber as well as La Toja. I meant to order two decants of the Blue but I mistakenly ordered two of the Amber. 
It's been a good week or so.
First up is my first Thuringian.

A nice vintage Le Grelot
This is special. A Joseph Mappin Lancet Edge in what I'm pretty sure is elephant ivory scales.
My first "big" blade. Well, the first over an inch. It's a 17/16 of unknown maker. It needs a heck of a lot of work.
And last but no means least, a Livi ATS 7/8 in olive wood scales.

Just had a visit from the mailman (not Karl Malone). They all smell good to me so that's always a plus.
Wow, blade is a full 13/16th and weighs in at 51 Grams, looks like factory edge. See no signs of hone ware on spine, spine and tang is all blue anodized. I'm a very happy camper right now ! Friedrich Schlemper, Solingen-Merscheid in 1925. Brand names: 'Brennpunkt Solingen', 'Capitol', 'DK Prior', 'Focus', 'Kapitol'. Open-blade razor and razor-blade maker.

Yes Sir tang and spine are blue & Yes Sir got it off the bay to my mailbox for a mere 35.00 bucks

That is a huge blade sir! Can't wait to see what you do with it to clean it up! Congrats on all those beautiful razors.
