imho...I think the object is to remove and replace ONE letter OR reposition one letter ,rather than eliminate it...winkydink is correct,it's just a time killer game, and most of the regulars have screwed up one or two words as the game progresses...no harm in gently pointing out a bum play, but it's just in good fun..

It's not that big a deal.

So, if we're reverting to "shortened", then I'll have to wait since playing off one's own word seems to be in poor form. However, if we're playing off "dungeon" then I play:

You're correct, there are no prizes. This is trivial.
I just felt compelled to point it out.

I haven't posted here in a while, but was asked about the rules. Gents, you are all correct, in that I did start this game as literally the "change one letter word game". But you are also correct, the rules have been bent, maybe even mangled and broken, more than once even early in the game, and it can be frustrating, but my thought then was to let it slide, including the rearranging of letters without adding or deleting, because, finally, you are also correct, this is just a game and has been enjoyed even with an occasional deviation from the rules. I preferred to just think of another word rather than interrupt play. I encourage you continue playing, and not get too hung up on an occasional rule lapse, especially if other players jump in and out from time to time.

If I may continue the game, from "nodule":

I apologize for my part in this.
In the future I will keep my comments to myself.
