I really didn't think about the horn handle needing to be waxed to prevent the dulling effect. That doesn't sound too hot now.

    23-24mm is my sweet spot. I just ordered a custom 24mm 2-band D01.

Interest would definitely be there depending on price and shipping. Also Tax for CA residents could add to that

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Size preference is what I imagined. I wasn't expecting so many flat top requests, and I'm not sure I'd do it as we stock normal Shavemac models. Maybe a custom run. I'll have to talk to Bernd about it.

My point is that Shavemac is pretty easy about custom orders, and from what I've been told the wait isn't even that long... so it seems like there needs to be something to incentivize customers to get enough business to justify going to the trouble of stocking Shavemacs. And price seems the only way to do it. Well... Price or doing a "LE" run. As we've seen, slapping LE on a brush increases demand (just look at the anger Semogue faced when they increased a LE run from customers who had only bought the brush because it was limited). I don't understand that mentality, but it's obviously there.
We already stock Shavemac brushes and they sell well, so this is just a line extension. Customers that buy Shavemac from us do so because we're a US retailer.

    I would definitely be interested in a 22mm-24mm D01.

I think the 23mm knots for Shavemac as they are are superb brushes. So I'd go with a 23mm knot of some sort.

I'm in the minority, but I prefer a little bit smaller brushes. 20mm would perfect.

If you carried these 2 brushes with the 20-22-24mm knots it looks like it would cover the sizes most people like.

+1 and I have the Semogue LE in Buffalo Horn with the Badger Hair and just wipe it down with a little neatsfoot oil from the tack room every few months like Rudy Vey recommended. My shavemac's are in white and one ebony with very large knots.

I'd be interested in one. Ideally, a two-band somewhere on the smaller end of the scale. If you could carry that, it'd be great.

As far as handle materials go, something out of the ordinary would be nice. Be it horn, or wood, or those clear plexiglass cubes ... something other than the standard plastic "black or white". But really, it's the two-band that would draw me, not the handle material.

The flat-top looks gimicky to me, and I wouldn't get one.
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
