Wow, haven't seen those since I visited the Kindal shop in Paris! They have the 7 day sets in both ivory and tortoise, but of course not for sale!

Thanks. Did the store have 31s, 32s, and/or 33s on display in tortoise?
I don't know, the lady in the store didn't have the key to the display and my french didn't work in that part of the world...
They are the ones in the pic above.

BTW the Kindal site has some of the firms history: http://www.kindal.fr/la-coutellerie-kindal,fr,8,55.cfm , the history of Heljestrand : http://www.kindal.fr/cv-heljestrand,fr,8,58.cfm and some "elegant objects": http://www.kindal.fr/beaux-objets-elegants-outi,fr,8,59.cfm

This, this is the thread for me... Lovely razors all, incredible how far these have travelled from here. One wonders what they've seen, who's had them, fascinating!

Anyways, here are my razors, all in glorious crappy mobile-phone photo quality! We start off with the non-heljestrands! Top to bottom C. W. Dahlgren frameback (changeable blade by the looks of it), Erik Anton Berg and another EAB, and lastly a F. W. Söderén. Only the black EAB is shave-ready, haven't much enjoyed it though... or I just like my heljes to much.

And speaking of heljes, here they are! First a batch of heljes without the coveted mk markings, top to bottom No. 7, No. 24, No. 2 and No. 24 Ruba-Extra.

Now for the mks. First of is a blade that has never let me down, mk30. Following this little blade is mk31, my first straight razor (along with two excactly like it). Then it's mk32, hardly need to comment on that one, but I must anyway; it's so beautiful C,:

And lastly a 7-day set of mk31s which I still hardly can believe I own, they some slight need restoration work on the backs, but still! So that's my collection of swedish steel, hopefully I'll be adding mk33 to it within the year, but that might be optimistic, but one can allways hope!
