A poll suggested by this recent thread about using a razor from 1905.

What is the oldest razor you've actually shaved with? If you have a bronze razor taken from the ruins of Pompeii, or more realistically, a 17th century straight, that's interesting, but doesn't count if you haven't shaved with it.

The oldest I've actually used is my Gem Junior Bar, which would be no newer than 1907. Great shaver, too. Oldest DE is an 1910 Single Ring, although I have a 1908 still to get to.

I'm a relative newbie. I remember using one of my dad's injectors when I was in my late teens in the early '70's, I'd guess it was from the late '50's.

1954 SS (I didn't really like it though, I'm going to try a couple more blades...if I still don't like it, I'll sell/PIF it)

I have a 1953 Ball End on the way, so after I get that cleaned up, my answer will have changed but it might be a couple weeks.

EDIT: Also, a 1951 SS

6/8 McPhearson Bros. silver steel straight. Been told it's probably from the late 1800s or early 1900s, but not sure.

Oldest safety razor is the 1901 Pat. Ever-Ready Lather Catcher.

1925 New Improved for me. I've only used it twice but was going to use it today or tomorrow for my next shave.

Forgot to mention earlier -- I was the recipient of a PIF and that razor is an EARLY '50's Super Speed -- I THINK -- so I'm still a relative newbie!

Oldest for me was the thread that kicked this idea off. 1905 Gillette single ring, actually I'm going to be using it again in a little while.
