    Default New Jagger De89lbl

Received my new Edwin Jagger De89lbl (the one with the lined handle) today. My first impression was that this thing has better fit and finish than any razor should have, especially considering how much it costs. Seriously, I didn't want to shave with it; I just wanted to handle and admire it!

I'm glad I did shave with it. It's pretty non-aggressive, extremely well-balanced, and the handle is just the right length for my hands. I'll have to get used to the head shape- it's slightly different from my Merkur Classics- and maybe try a variety of blades. As usual, I'm not as careful with the angle as I should be.

Who cares. The thing is drop-dead gorgeous (if you like perfect chrome jobs) and works beautifully.

    Money well spent! Highly recommended!

I love both my DE89 and my R41. Both razors are exquisite works of art. I too was mesmerized the first time I took that R41 out of the box and twirled that gorgeous handle. :)

It's worth getting the EJ dedicated stand to coddle it on the bathroom counter while you stare at its wonderfulness
Arise you shavers from your slumbers, arise you prisoners of carts
