Default New Rooney Heritage Brushes Now In Stock

We just received a shipment of some old favorites, the Rooney Heritage Emillion and all three sizes of the Stubby, as well as a couple of new additions to the Heritage line. All brushes are filled with an exceptional grade of two-band "Super". This hair is the finest grade (no pun intended) of hair that we have yet to receive from Rooney since the Heritage line was launched, and the density of fill is exceptional.

The original Emillion has been re-designated as the "Size 2" to make way for a new smaller Size 1 Emillion with a 21mm knot. The handle of this new brush has been reduced in scale proportionately.

The Stubby range has been expanded to include three additional sizes. These are the 1XL, the 2XL, and the 3XL with 25mm, 28mm, and 30mm knots respectively. Only a dozen each of these brushes are available at this time.

Our entire Rooney Heritage range of brushes can be seen HERE.

    Hi Jim,

How does the 2 band "Super" heritage knots compare to the Rooney Finest knots that are no longer available?

Hey Joe. I think that these comparisons are best left to the members, but I would say that these brushes are close to some of the Finest grade that I have gotten over the years. However, that grade was variable, as can be all badger hair grades. This hair is not at all prickly as some Finest could be, but has great backbone and is very soft at the tips. Hope that helps.

Now to convince my wife that a Stubby 2XL is as economical a Christmas gift as three pair of new black socks...

    Let's see, I'll own the socks for a year, wearing each once a week, or approximately 50 times. $9/3 pairs = $3/pair / 50 uses = $0.06 per use.

I'll own the brush for 20 years, using it every third day, or 2,400 times. $180/2,400 = $0.08 per use. Hmmmmm. That's a pretty competitive argument, eh?

The Stubby 1/2XL's look really nice to me. Can you comment on density? I've had a Super 3/1, and two Finests (1/1 and 1/2). The Supers density was disappointing for me. The finests both were excellently packed, but I've heard the Heritage two bands are much less dense in reviews. Do these brushes follow that pattern or are they closer to the Finests in density?

Tell her it has a 47mm loft with a 28mm knot.

I went ahead and grabbed one... I went for the Stubby 2.

I'll see how I like it and then maybe grab the 1XL or 2XL. I've had my eye on a CH2, but I think that this may fit the bill given the availability of the CH2 Two-Bands...

I picked up one of the new Emillion size 1 brushes. It should be here on Friday. I have several Finest brushes and I'll try to remember to take some shots of the knots so you can compare the density of the various knots.

In my humble opinion these brushes are about as dense as they could possibly be without risk of splitting the handle. Lol. However, that having been said, brush density can be a subjective measurement. I look forward to hearing from Chris and some of the others after they receive their brushes as to their assessment of the density. Erin will be shipping quite a few today. So, I expect you will see some comments posted early next week.

The 1XL looks great. I think it would go nicely with my three original Heritage brushes.

I also ordered the Emillion size 1 and have to tell everyone that Jim's service is simply the mark to hit. In May when I first joined, I PM'd Jim about these brushes. He replied yesterday to my original PM that they were in stock and I ordered along with some other items; the Floris 127 was impossible to pass up.

Other orders have been filled and shipped like lightning by his associates, so he has created a climate for his organization. As a former VP of Ntl. Marketing for several national consumer products companies, I can tell you that this is no small achievement. Congratulations Jim for an outstanding reputation for customer service. Doug

PM me the review first so if it's positive I can sneak in and snag the last one before everyone else.

If the 1XL is what I expect, I may sell my Finest....

I'll tell you Jim, you made me a real believer in Rooney brushes. For someone who can't spell his own last name right...... ....you've done well.
