    Interesting. I can't imagine that the Macallan character would really stand out in this...

    I recognized the Spec's pricetag and did a double take on your location

    i'd say the macallan would be realy overwelmed by the laphroaig.

    Anvil Bar and Refuge
    Some of the best cocktails in town. No artificial flavoring of any kind. Even the bitters are homemade.

    I've not been to Anvil but I've been to Downing Street quite a bit over the years. I used to work in the British and Irish Pubs around the Upper Kirby area.

    Roeder's Pub on Shepherd has the Highland Park 12 for a damn reasonable price. I think it's something like 7 or 8 bucks. Not a bad deal at all.
