Default Mama Bear's Soaps November Happenings

I haven't been on here in a while and it is kind of nice to be back.. It's been a long summer with 3 surgeries.. seemed as soon as I got better, something else would happen. In March I had rotator cuff surgery along with them removing part of my bicep tendon... In June, some female surgery and then in August I broke my wrist in 4 places. But I am back and slowly getting caught back up albeit slowly..

for November, I just wanted to have some fun with the Novelty Fragrances... and although none of these soaps are available yet ( I will have them up in a day or two), I wanted to tell you about them.. because they really are fun.. and also because I have kind of missed everyone!!

First is Light Beer scented shaving soap.... and yep it smells like a light beer.. not the heavier beers that I brew at home, but like a Miller Lite.

I am opening these and smelling them as I go along..

The others should make holidays a little more fun.. I have egg nog.. french toast and blueberry cheesecake..... I hate to say it, I just couldn't help myself with these three...

I am sure by December I will be in a more serious mode, but for now.. it's time for a little fun. You can actually smell the maple syrup in the french toast... my apologies for indulging myself this month.. December will be here soon enough..

    Warm Regards and Happy Thanksgiving!!

I'm glad your back up on your feet, it sounds like it was a rough year for you.

Thanks for the update, the new scents sound fun!

    Thumbs up

    Sue,
One heck of a rough summer , eh? but I am glad to hear that (hopefully) the worse is behind and you can concentrate on healing.

All your soaps are fabulous...I love the ones I got from you awhile back...Use them (almost) religiously.

I pray that your healing takes a fast pace and you're 100% back to being normal.
    Cheers,
    Robert

Sounds fun. Glad to have you back in one piece. Why would you have anything like Miller Lite around if you brew? I'm pretty sure even mentioning mass produced beer is blasphemous.

I know! I know! I found out it was actually based on Coors Light... it is very light... but I HAD to try it! Smells like 7 up to me tho... I may take this one off the offerings and wait for a good strong stout fragrance...

    Default Stay Healthy

    Sue,
Glad all is well and you are back on your feet.
It's been a rough year on soap makers!

The new flavors sound interesting but beer might not go over well at my government agency.
I'll be placing an order for some shave sticks and such by the holidays.

    Stay healthy,

    John

Very glad to see that you are back Sue. Goodness, sounds like soap making is one heck of a dangerous job! I agree that the french toast soap is very interesting. And just when I thought I was through buying "needed" stuff for a while.

What sort of feedback have you had about the Bacon Shaving Soap?

    Gonna buy it soon probably!

Welcome back. Great to hear that you are up and about again.
    The french toast sounds appetizing.
Have you ever tried a fresh baked bread scent? I always that would be a great shave to start a cold morning.
My wife sometimes has the breeadmaker set to finish in the morning. It's baking while I am in the middle of my workout, and it just kills me as that aroma wafts out of the kitchen. mmmmmmmm......

Sue, you ought to make one that smells like a good Guinness Stought Ale. I made a home brew like it a while back and it had a really good aroma to it.

I haven't had any feedback on it which worries me. I have gone back and forth with carrying them or not carrying them because of it.. The feedback on the Cannabis has not been great, but I am not thrilled with that one either, it smells like the plant more than what I remember as a kid. The bacon does smell like bacon and I actually have a new one in that smells even better I think.. but no feedback yet.

The french toast.. I absolutely adore it.. it is wonderful. I put a few drops of it in the burner last night and the whole house smelled like it..

I do have a fresh baked bread fragrance that I sell, but have never made soap with it, I use it in the burner also because I really like the way my bread machine smells also. It smells good, but it doesn't smell the same as when I make the bread itself..
