Question My wife asked me this question today.

I was demonstrating how I hold my razor. Not whole-handed, and with great zeal, as in a baseball bat, but rather more like an artists paint brush, 2 or 3 fingers at most.

She asked me if that was how she was to hold her razor when doing her legs, and I didn't have a clue. I attempted to guess but then thought better to ask here.

    What do y'all think ?

    thanks
    George

Not an expert but I would image the same techniques you use of you face will work elsewhere.

Perhaps some lady members could chime in.

What sort of razor does she use?
I hold my DE nearer the end of the handle but kind of like a paintbrush I guess.

As for cartridges ... You could chop off your hand a tape one to the stump
And still be holding it correctly. What with swivel heads and all that jazz you can hold a cartridge any which way and it'll pretty much do the same job.

If she's using a straight I'll need to get out the notepad and pen to show you the various ways you need to hold it during a leg shave!

really i think it doesn't matter how a razor is held as long as theres control and the user is comfortable and getting great shaves
How do you tell when you’re out of invisible ink?

I forgot to mention that she uses either a Lady Gillette or a Feather Popular.
We are trying to figure out which one does the least damage.

Both are long handled, but she has very little patience and usually just whacks away.

My wife uses the end as a paintbrush. She said it's because areas like the ankles, knees and behind the legs and shins are prone to cuts so a light touch is all that is needed.

Sounds like my wife. She's tried DE shaving twice and her patience just isn't there. I'm not 100% positive but I would imagine holding like you would a spoon would be more than adequate for most of the shave. Assuming she'll most likely be doing ATG and XTG passes. Similar to how you would hold it for ATG passes on your neck

My wife uses her DE on her legs, and a cartridge on her ankles and armpits.

Not sure how she holds it though.
